Huggabully

Huggabully: (n) a huggable pit bull (sometimes referred to as "bully"); (v) the action of hugging a sweet pit bull

My fiance and I have a pit bull named Daisy (which is very suiting for her personality). And she loves to snuggle! She is a very huggable animal and invites the attention. In describing her silliness to my fiance, I described her as a "huggabully", meaning she was a huggable bully. He thought it was cute and agrees that she is, in fact, a "huggabully." When spoken around his family, the concept started to spread. His parents both love Daisy and agree she is a sweet dog who loves affection. His mother mentioned wanting to pick her up during the week so she could spend some time with her huggabully. Within our close circle, the word is now understood, and at proper times, it is used (mostly by women). People outside of our home, such as with coworkers, the reaction is different. They do think I am a little crazy for using the word (but mostly because my closest coworker does not care for dogs). The professional world is perhaps not the best place to implement my new word, but it seems to be working on the personal side.
